Launchy is a utility which lets you launch programs, documents, bookmarks, etc using search-based launcher. The idea is very simple but convenient for users who love typing or for you who have lost your mouse’s aggressivity (which is kind of annoying). Well, I didn’t have any interest using this program the first time my friend offered it to me. But since my mouse has grown wild lately, I have no choice but to try it. And, voala, I love it so much. Finally, I can say goodbye to my desktop shortcut and start menu option. Here’s how to set up launchy on your computer:

1. Download the sofware (which is free) and install it on your computer

2. launch the program (default hotkey “[Alt] [Space]“)

3. Type the program, document or bookmark you want to launch in the search bar and you’ll get suggestions for the programs correlated with the keyword

4. finally, type enter to launch it.
